Jungle Village - Wildeburg 2024 - Kutlab
Design a stage environment for the festival Wildeburg, featuring a DJ booth and a live performance stage.
The project allowed complete creative freedom in developing the overall visual identity, atmosphere, and surrounding environment of the stage concept.

A series of atmospheric concept renders exploring a mysterious jungle-inspired festival environment built around layered wooden structures, weathered materials, and handcrafted architectural elements. The design combines dense vegetation, abandoned village influences, thatched-roof huts, and cinematic lighting to create an immersive and visually striking atmosphere.
The central live stage was developed as a monumental temple-like structure, functioning as a sacred focal point within the environment. Surrounding huts and custom-built DJ booths were carefully integrated into the layout to strengthen the spatial experience and visual storytelling of the stage design.
The project began with detailed renders used to establish the artistic direction, scale, atmosphere, and overall composition of the festival environment. Based on these visualizations, layered structural systems, material choices, construction methods, and spatial distances between the different elements were determined before the on-site build process began.
Custom lighting concepts were also developed throughout the project, including cage-style lamps integrated with plants and organic materials to naturally blend into the jungle setting while enhancing the immersive atmosphere. The existing location was partially reconstructed in 3D to accurately integrate the concepts into the real space. Based on this foundation, multiple visual directions were developed, focusing on mood, lighting composition, practical effects, and key set elements that would strengthen the dystopian aesthetic on camera.
The laboratory features custom-built experimental components, improvised machinery, cables, lighting structures, and energy-related props, all designed to enhance the feeling of a decaying yet functional research facility. Cold industrial tones are contrasted with sharp artificial lighting and glowing accents, creating a visually striking and immersive backdrop for the videoclip.
In contrast, a custom-made modern cabinet with a steel frame introduces a clean, contemporary edge, all precisely tailored to fit the space. At the back, a large marble wall ties the entire design together, creating a cohesive and refined backdrop.
The overall atmosphere is warm and inviting, with subtle copper accents and a balanced combination of rustic wood and sleek marble, blending traditional charm with modern simplicity.

Multiple high-quality concept renders and mood studies exploring different visual approaches for the festival stage environment and overall atmosphere.
Detailed stage visualizations were created to communicate the architectural direction, lighting concepts, material use, and practical construction possibilities for both the DJ booth and live performance stage.
The renders were used as the foundation for structural planning, material selection, and on-site construction preparation, helping define the overall layout and positioning of the stage structures throughout the festival area.
